The global energy drinks market saw double-digit growth in 2004, up 17.8%. Although Asia Pacific remained the leading region with a 58.1% share of global volume in 2004, its market share is expected to gradually decline as other markets evolve. The North American region holds the next largest share (14.7%) and has seen impressive volume gains. The United States is expected to become the largest country market by 2009, Research and Markets says.
