If you're a Google Chrome user, there's an update headed your way as Google bumps the stable version up to 3.0.195.21.

When you think about it, that's pretty impressive. Chrome is only a year and two weeks old and it's already up to version 3!

So, what's new?

  • JavaScript performance up 25% from version 2 (given Chrome's speed already, that's a bit moot, but more speed is a good thing).
  • Redesigned New Tab page that's easier to use and more customizable. A nice new feature is the ability to pin a thumbnail to the New Tab page and have it stay there.

  • Improved omnibox (address bar) with tweaks such as small icons to help you distinguish between suggested sites, searches, bookmarks, and sites from your browsing history.

  • Greater HTML5 support.
  • Themes to change the look of your browser.

To upgrade click on the spanner icon (same row as the omnibox, far right), and click on About Google Chrome to check for the update.

I've just applied the so I'll let you know how it goes.
