Google through my eyes, 2005
As this year comes to an end, I would like to direct you towards some of my articles from 2005. Googling Google has had an excellent year, and I'm excited to dig up some of the articles that my readers will remember most. I am looking forward to 2006 as it is sure to be filled with even more interesting headlines for Google and its competitors. Happy new years everyone.
GDrive wasn't such a bad idea - Before this article was published, the link between Data Docket and Google was unknown. The two don't seem to have anything in common, but doing a little digging uncovered a link that cannot be denied. Also in the article, as the title implies, I discuss the possibility of a G: drive that would allow anybody to store files on Google's servers.
A date to remember - The last article made the connection between Data Docket and Google. With this new information, I discovered a new domain called gcalendar.com registered to none other than "Data Docket". The Google Calendar still hasn't made it's entrance yet, but I am optimistic that it will be sooner than later.
Will Google Purchases be a download? - Using telnet to view the headers of some http requests, it is clear that Purchases will have some sort of downloadable component to it.
Google: Thinking about the future of TV ads - Here's some food for thought. Considering Google owns domain names like googledvr.net/org along with the New York Times article which quotes Google as saying that they are interested in television advertising, it's easy to see some interesting possibilities for future services.
What can Google do for Open Office - Google's partnership with Sun caused Open Office to get a lot of attention. Google even put resources toward the development of the product which tells me they are interested in competing with Microsoft on the desktop productivity front.
