Hayes to buy modem rival Cardinal
Hayes will today announce its intention to buy rival modem maker Cardinal Technologies for an undisclosed sum.
Cardinal was early into multifunction voice modems but has failed in its efforts to make it big in international markets. Cardinal currently supports the x2 56kbps modem camp while Hayes is an enthusiast for the rival K56Flex.
