Hey genius, how about laying room only?

Here's an idea for the ergonomically-challenged geniuses at Airbus and the airline industry; if you can shove 800 people in to a plane laying vertically, how about giving our bodies a break and lay us on those same backboards horizontally?

Stories have been going around about Airbus pushing standing-room-only airline tickets for the quick 1 hour trips.  The purpose is to shove more than 800 unfortunate people in to an Airbus A380 by strapping them to a backboard.  Well here's an idea for these ergonomically-challenged geniuses at Airbus and the airline industry; if you can shove 800 people in to a plane laying vertically, how about giving our bodies a break and lay us on those same backboards horizontally?

Just stack some simple beds on top of each other because anything would be better than standing or even sitting for hours at a time.  I might actually be able to get some sleep without killing my body.  Sitting in those airplane seats for hours at a time stresses out the neck, back, and tailbone.  Even if it's a one hour trip, your typical business traveler could use that extra hour of sleep.  With the legs facing forward, it would probably be the safest crash landing position anyways.
