High-end HP printer keeps work in-house

Hewlett-Packard said Wednesday that it has shipped the Color LaserJet 9500, a $6,799 high-end printer that's designed to allow companies to print in-house documents that would typically have been outsourced to a printing company. Vyomesh Joshi, the executive who heads HP's printing and imaging unit, will show off the device during a keynote speech at next week's Seybold Seminars event in San Francisco, according to the Palo Alto, Calif.
