How was your VoIP shopping weekend? Tell me your stories!

I know a number of you went to your local electronics, computer, office supply or warehouse club store and bought some VoIP this weekend. Maybe you bought a router, and have either configured it or plan to as soon as you can bring this workweek under control.

I know a number of you went to your local electronics, computer, office supply or warehouse club store and bought some VoIP this weekend. Maybe you bought a router, and have either configured it or plan to as soon as you can bring this workweek under control.

Others, I am sure, bought a VoIP phone.

Still more of you managed to corner a tech specialist at your retailer, and had some questions for him or her.

Interested to hear your stories. Was floor sales staff, tech service desk or even store phone support knowledgeable? When you asked them question (s) they weren't sure about, did they admit that, and then page for a manager? Was the sales manager or in-store tech available, or did you have to wait 10 mins. for the overmatched sales clerk's page to be answered?

Once you brought your quarry home, did you find that all the equipment came in the box as it should? If not, what was missing? Was carrier or vendor phone support up to snuff? How about installation manuals?
