HP Far East manages data growth with IXOS-Archive
Singapore, 3 July 2000 -- IXOS Software Asia, a subsidiary of IXOS Software AG (Neuer Markt: XOS; NASDAQ: XOSY),a provider of e-business document management solutions in SAP inter-enterprise system environments, announced thatit will supply and deploy its IXOS-Archive enterprise-wide solution to the Asia-Pacific Distribution Operations(APDO) of Hewlett-Packard (HP) Far East.

it will supply and deploy its IXOS-Archive enterprise-wide solution to the Asia-Pacific Distribution Operations
(APDO) of Hewlett-Packard (HP) Far East.
IXOS-Archive - an enterprise-wide business document solution - automates the imaging, archiving, retrieval, sharing, delivery and re-use of data and information within organisations and between business partners. It is designed to handle high volumes of documents and for global deployment.
The Data Archiving module will be implemented in HP Far East's central data centre, based in Singapore, and will serve an initial base of 150 users. The centre supports the entire distribution system of HP computer, printer and peripheral products in the Asia-Pacific region.
HP, a provider of computing and imaging solutions and services, started searching for an archiving solution when it was in the process of rolling out R/3 within APDO.
"We foresee a tremendous growth in data and information," said Mr. George Philip, Information Systems Manager of Business Information Technology, APDO, HP Far East, "and it is extremely vital that documents are handled well because system performance and timely fulfillment of customer orders are highly critical to our business."
