Hewlett-Packard is updating its Pavilion notebook collection with five redesigned and new models. Buyers should expect more of a focus on style rather than computing power.

All of these new HP laptops are budget-friendly and feature 17 exclusive wallpapers designed by six artists from around the world. Both available on February 27, the two most high-end models being announced today are the Pavilion dv6 (pictured above) and the Pavilion dv7. Both notebooks feature AMD Radeon 6000M graphics, USB 3.0 connectivity, an HD webcam, Beats Audio technology and an optional integrated Blu-ray disc player.

The big differences are a 15.6-inch HD BrightView display with up to 1TB of storage on the the dv6 and a 17.3-inch panel with up to 2TB of hard drive space on the dv7.

Then we have the Pavilion g-series with a trio of new notebooks intended for basic, everyday uses. Highlighted features include HD BrightView displays with Altec Lansing speakers and SRS Premium Audio technology. The g4, g6 and g7 will roll out on March 13 for $499.99, $449.99 and $599.99 respectively.
