IBM to offer sub-£1K ThinkPad, cheaper desktops
IBM has announced UK price cuts of up to 24 per cent on its ThinkPad range to offer a sub-£1,000 notebook for the first time.
Desktop prices will also be cut: Mike Lunch, managing director of the IBM PC Company UK, indicated that after the revisions, PC 300 prices would undercut comparable Compaq products by around £100-£150.
