There are many, many iPod/iPhone docks/alarm clocks out on the market, but the the makers of the iLuv iMM178 Vibe Plus hope to have an edge with a few tricks on this dock to wake users up besides just an absurdly annoying beeping sound.

The iLuv iMM178 Vibe Plus has your basic features, like FM radio (including 10 programmable presets), dual alarm functions, and a bright LCD screen that can be dimmed. And for regular music enjoyment, there is a pair of built-in jAura acoustic speakers.

But what really makes this iPod dock stand out is that it has the ability to wake someone up by shaking them. By placing the attachment (seen in the photo above) under your pillow, the device vibrates the bed which promises to wake up even "the heaviest of sleepers." (I slept through the 1989 earthquake in San Francisco, even with my brother shaking me and trying to wake me up, so that thing better be very strong.)

The alarm clock has 10 different modes to wake a user up, including iPod, FM radio, buzzer, bed shaker, iPod + bed shaker, FM radio + bed shaker, buzzer + bed shaker.

The dock is compatible with all versions of the iPhone and the iPod TouchiPod Nano (1st – 5th gen), iPod Classic, iPod with video, iPod 4th gen and even the old iPod mini.

The iLuv iMM178 Vibe Plus is available now for $89.99.
