Toronto-based 01 Communique introduced on Wednesday a service called I'm InTouch that allows road warriors to get access to their Outlook and Outlook Express e-mail and other information using wireless devices or any PC with a Web browser.
The service offers a secure direct connection between the remote device and the person's PC and can work from behind a firewall or proxy server, according to the company. The service costs $9.95 per month, or $99.95 per year, and runs on PCs with Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Me and Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 workstation and Windows XP Professional. A free 30-day trial is available at the company's Web site. --Ian Fried, Special to ZDNet News
