India's IT services market is set to double over a five-year period, between 2008 to 2013, to hit $12.8bn, according to a research note released on Wednesday.

According to Springboard Research, the country's domestic IT services industry is expected to grow at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 18.6 percent from 2008 to 2013, driven primarily by India's infrastructure services segment, worth $7.2bn (£4.5bn), which will account for 53 percent of the overall market.

Within infrastructure services, hosting is marked for the highest growth rate over the predicted period, followed by enterprise outsourcing, network integration and network management.
