Licensees share WiMax infrastructure

When the Government awarded WiMax licenses to four relatively small companies, as opposed to the big telcos, many people wondered how on earth these companies could afford to roll out WiMax--hardly an inexpensive proposition. Turns out they now have a solution: Shared infrastructure.

If all goes well, we'll see WiMax rolled out by early next year. I'm not holding my breath, but this new development at least gives me hope that wireless broadband could soon become a reality in Malaysia.
