Life-size, living Lego greenhouse

Summary:Watch a video of the world's first functioning greenhouse made from Legos.

This video shows the construction of the Lego greenhouse by Sebastian Bergne, a London designer. The Lego greenhouse is a fully functioning greenhouse made almost entirely with Lego bricks, including the 'soil' for the plants. Bergne wanted to build something not only huge and boundary-pushing but also usable out of Lego blocks. He based his concept on combining the natural environment with a modular structure made from Lego.

Bergne collaborated with Duncan Titmarsh, the only Lego certified professional in the UK, to build and install the structure in London's Covent Garden. The project was commissioned by Lego UK as part of London Design Week 2011.
