LinkedIn adds job-application plug-in
People will now be able to apply for jobs from within the networking site, while employers will be able to integrate applications into their own system
LinkedIn is to launch a job-application feature within the social-networking site.
Apply with LinkedIn is a web plug-in touted as "one simple click" for the end user to file a job application. Application information will be saved, and users can go back and look over a record of all the jobs they have applied for.
LinkedIn is also promoting easier access to references and referrals for employers. Additionally, the interface can be customised with the particular company's own design, and applications can be received via email or integrated with the company's applicant tracking system.
