Lockdown adds Wireless Sentry

Lockdown version 3 implements policy-based vulnerability management and security enforcement for internal, external, remote or branch office and wireless networks. A new architecture identifies and enforces user-definable policies for auditing, prioritizing vulnerabilities, workflow management and monitoring devices on a wired and wireless network. For example, the policy engine detects which ports are allowed to be open, determines which services are allowed to run, assesses the business impact of vulnerability, and enforces the needed actions when a critical vulnerability is found.

This version ships with default policy templates that can be customized for regulatory requirements, enterprise security policies, or policies promulgated by other organizations. Several other enhancements have been made for efficiency and ease of administration, including improvements to the Web-based interface and new reporting capabilities.

A new platform was introduced for the Lockdown Auditor. Performance is improved for more audits, and the product has an LCD panel for monitoring device status, and an improved form factor.

Lockdown also introduced a new wireless security appliance, Lockdown Wireless Sentry, for all wireless 802.11a/b/g access points and clients. It removes unauthorized or suspicious clients from good access points, protects authorized clients by removing them from bad access points, and enforces security policies by removing authorized clients that are not in compliance.

Lockdown Auditor and Wireless Sentry are now available with Lockdown version 3.0. Pricing starts at $6,895 for the Lockdown Auditor (minimum 64 devices) and $2,495 for the Lockdown Wireless Sentry.
