Macworld, Oracle/Sun, censorship and more

We also assess the new Oracle/Sun partnership, with Oracle extending its Java license for another ten years and Sun bundling Oracle's database with higher-end Solaris 10-based servers. Unfortunately for Sun, the sales and marketing relationship doesn't include the new Niagara (UltraSparc T1) or Galaxy AMD-based x86 systems. We also look into the The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's funding of efforts to hunt for security bugs in open-source software--check out the discussion on this one. In addition, we discuss controversy around U.S.-based companies, like Microsoft and Yahoo, abiding by Internet censorship laws in countries like China.
