After Microsoft announced plans to enter the retail market earlier this year, it has been keeping quiet on what to expect from its stores. But sources tell ZDNet UK's sister site, CNET News, to expect flashy monitors, fancy PCs and a giant display. According to the sources, the outlets, simply named 'Microsoft Store', are rumoured to have borrowed some of their design features from Apple retail stores, including an 'answer bar' that seems very similar to Apple's own Genius Bar.

Microsoft is due to open two stores in the US this autumn, with more to follow next year. CNET News has the full story on Microsoft's retail plans.
