Microsoft responds to DoJ offer

Responding to the DoJ's offer of a settlement in Microsoft's antitrust case, a spokesman for the company said yesterday: "We are taking seriously the judge's suggestion that both sides explore settlement discussions. Under the circumstances it would be inappropriate to comment any further on any specifics related to any settlement effort.
