This update just in from the Windows Vista licensing department. If you are one of the folks who purchased this week the Vista Family Discount Pack and got an invalid licensing key, the fix is coming soon.

Family Pack purchasers reported that they were issued invalid keys for the Vista Home Premium copies that are part of the Vista Ultimate-Home Premium bundle.

It took a day, but here is Microsoft's update on the matter, via a corporate spokeswoman's public statement:

"Microsoft is aware of the (Family Discount key) issue and is working to address it. New product keys are on the way as of this afternoon to the small group of customers who have been affected. We've also taken steps to ensure that the issue is resolved going forward. We're committed to providing a great customer experience for Windows Family Discount participants."
