MS posts e-mail virus warning client
Microsoft has posted a client-side program on its Web site intended to trim the danger of viruses transmitted by e-mail.
The software is an extension to Microsoft's Messaging API and works on Exchange, Outlook 97 and OS in-box functions but doesn't detect or get rid of viruses. Instead it provides a warning that files contained in mail could be harmful.
