MSi is introducing the GE600 into its G-Series notebook family, with an focus on gaming and apparently a touch of "low-profile luxury."

Powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, the MSi tries to pack a lot of punch within this 5.95-lb. heavy machine. Featuring an SRS Premium Sound system and an ATI Radeon HD 5730 graphics card (with 1 GB of DDR3 VRAM), there's plenty to work with for gaming, but also any other media that will keep you entertained.

MSi is also going for the "noble" (and maybe the stylish) gamer by mixing in a soft hue of gold into the black encasing, plus a luminescent hotkey set with silver borders. It all sounds so regal and fancy, not like the typical gaming machine. I wonder if these extra touches will mean extra fees tacked onto the price tag.

Other stats to consider include:

  • 16-inch HD TFT LCD screen
  • Intel HM55 chipset
  • DirectX 11 compatibility
  • Windows 7 Home Premium
  • 500 GB of hard drive space
  • Built-in webcam (capable of shooting 720p HD video)
  • Bluetooth
  • Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/draft n)
  • 4 in 1 card reader (XD/SD/MMC/Memory Stick)

Pricing and release dates haven't been announced yet, so stay tuned.
