Digital delivery of music over the Internet is already a reality in the US and is a growing phenomenon in Europe. But in Malaysia, it hasn't really started yet.

We have a portal called MusicCanteen MusicCanteen, but it offers indie music only.

For mainstream stuff, you'll have to wait for some time before TMNet's music portal starts offering songs for download.

Will it work here? I guess it depends very much on the offering and the price. If they offer a wide selection of songs and price them at less than RM4 (US$1.09) each, they have a chance.

Do you think online delivery of music will work? Music legend Zainal Abidin thinks so. Hear him explain why. But rocker Jason Lo disagrees. Listen to his take on this topic.
