NetApp plays role in 'Lord of the Rings'

Network Appliance systems were used in the special effects for the "Lord of the Rings" movies, the company plans to announce when the movie debuts next week. Weta Digital Effects used NetApp F760 and F840 servers with 12 terabytes of capacity to store digital images for "The Fellowship of the Rings" and two sequels due out in 2002 and 2003.

Weta Digital Effects used NetApp F760 and F840 servers with 12 terabytes of capacity to store digital images for "The Fellowship of the Rings" and two sequels due out in 2002 and 2003.
