Netscape Communications Corp. has removed the "Java-compliant" logo from the latest version of its Communicator suite, version 4.04, because its Web browser has been found not to be fully compatible with Sun Microsystems Inc.'s Java technology. Sun recently sued Microsoft Corp. for using the logo while allegedly not being in compliance with its Java standards.
