New NAV offers one-click anti-virus update

Symantec will push out a new version of Norton AntiVirus for Windows 95 in the first week of September, touting a single-click Internet connect that lets users install the latest virus definitions.

Called LiveUpdate, the tool takes users straight to Symantec's Web site where the data is held. Also new are Striker, a revamped scanner that can spot polymorphic - mutating - viruses, and Repair Wizard, a hand-holding guide to getting rid of viruses.

Norton AntiVirus 2.0 will list for £79 + VAT with upgrades at £29.

Symantec can be contacted by telephone on 01628-592320.
