The T-Mobile G2 is rolling out to buyers this week and is a replacement for the G1 with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. If you are looking for a T-Mobile Android device without a physical keyboard, then you might be interested in knowing that the new myTouch is coming soon. This new myTouch has been referred to by people online as the myTouch HD because of the significant improvements over the older myTouch that includ HD video capture capability.

Specifications of the new myTouch include the following:

  • 3.8 inch WVGA display
  • Android 2.2 operating system
  • HSPA+ wireless data support
  • 2nd generation 1 GHz Snapdragon processor
  • 5 megapixel camera
  • Front facing camera
  • Swype keyboard
  • microSD card (8GB included)

The Genius Button, powered by Dragon Dictation, that we saw on the myTouch Slide is included to provide you quite a bit of control with voice commands.

There is no pricing or availability information yet, but I imagine it will be priced at the now common $199 smartphone price.
