Microsoft is gearing up for the release of its new gaming consoles and accessories, starting with the new Xbox 360 in August followed by a Kinect bundle this holiday season.

A good deal of the information Microsoft is announcing today was already known, but we'll humor them anyway and fill you in with the new stuff first.

On August 3rd, the revamped Xbox 360 in a black matte finish will be available for purchase for $199. Remember that the new version was unveiled back at E3 2010 in June, and it will include Wi-Fi, touch-sensitive buttons, and a paltry 4GB of flash memory. But it's somewhat cheaper, so hey, that's how it goes.

On November 4th, the Kinect is expected make its long-awaited commercial debut for $149.99. You can also choose to buy the Kinect as part of a bundle with the new Xbox 360 for $299.99, although it's not clear yet if the bundle will drop the same day as the Kinect alone. Both are up for pre-sale now.

Note that pre-ordering either the Kinect standalone or as part of the bundle will also get you a copy of Kinect Adventures to get your new gaming collection started.
