News Burst: E-commerce slower in Europe, says IDC
Only 12.1 percent of all European Web users currently buy products online, stated a survey published on Thursday by market researcher International Data Corp.
While the actual number varies by European country, Germany tops the list with 18.7 percent buying -- the fraction is lower than the general Internet population's 28.9 percent. The study also found that almost half, actually 47.9 percent of Internet users, access the Internet from home, while 40.7 percent access the Net from work.
