News Burst: MultiPlay moves toward digital audio standard
New standard should mean that CD-R and CD-RW disks created on a PC will work on consumer CD and DVD players
OSTA, the optical storage technology association, announced MultiPlay, a specification uniting PCs and consumer CD and DVD players.
OSTA officials called it the first step toward its compressed digital audio format.
