News Burst: Yahoo buys quick access developer

Yahoo! will acquire Encompass Inc. in a deal worth $130m (£79m). Encompass develops software that allows PC makers and Internet service providers to offer quick connections to the Internet, including the creation of custom content and registration services. Encompass' customers include Dell, AT&T and Earthlink Network.
