Novell calls on Vocalis for verbal email

UK speech processing specialist Vocalis has signed a deal with Novell to develop a telephone-to-email service.

Using Vocalis' Speechmail product, Novell's Groupwise middleware will enable users to send, retrieve and delete email over the phone, without the aid of a PC or internet access. 200 Novell Groupwise customers will trial the service. The news came as Vocalis' shares rose by eight per cent in early trading this morning.
