Analysts fear worrying losses...

Japan's major telco NTT is likely to post a loss as large as $15bn analysts fear. Big investments in its fibre optic network are likely to account for some of the loss. NTT also has Y1000bn ($8bn) in retirement costs to account for. A write-off of NTT's purchase of US web-hosting company Verio bought last year for $5.5bn is also likely, according to the FT. The company does not expect to make a profit from IP services for about two years.
