This week, I have been counting down the Top 10 most-read items on this blog during 2006.

Checking our server logs, I see that Number 6 is "EXCLUSIVE: Apple Trademark Office docs point to REAL  reasons for "Podcast" controversy."

I remember the several hours I put into this September 23 post. At that time, there was lots of debate about Apple's seeming persona of objecting to use of the term Podcast. I dug through U.S. Patent & Trademark office records and undercovered lots of information that when I assembled all of it together, architected specifics about why Apple was being so persnickety.

Post also got lots of Techmeme love. Ask any blogger about that special feeling when his or her post appears there.

This was one of my most fun posts to write.
