Nvidia hangs with enterprise establishment

Nvidia is working the VMworld crowd in San Francisco talking up its GRID cloud technology as well as graphics computing with a dash of high-performance.

  • Dell launched new PowerEdge 720 rack servers with Nvidia's latest technology.
  • HP made a similar move for Nvidia's GRID graphics and desktop virtualization.
  • Cisco is demonstrating its Unified Computing Systems with Nvidia graphics processors.

Wedbush Securities analyst Betsy Van Hees said in a research note that Nvidia has 150 trials for its GRID technology with 350 deals in the pipeline. Tesla, Nvidia's high performance computing play, also is showing traction.
