Optus keen on Juniper kit

Optus has picked Juniper's M320 multiservice routing platform, the carrier's networks managing director Bill Hope said in a statement issued by Juniper yesterday, "after an extensive evaluation," for its reliability, scalability and performance.
Optus declined to comment further on the specifics of the evaluation. The statement said the M series router could provide both core and edge routing functions on a single system, providing cost savings.
The Juniper statement said Optus' network is being deployed by Siemens Australia.
