Oracle customers: Our consultants stink

Oracle customers attended OpenWorld last week and launched a few bombs at consultants while they were at it. According to a survey by VendorRate--an outfit that ranks vendors via feedback from customers--the companies that implement Oracle's software received low customer satisfaction ratings.

Oracle customers attended OpenWorld last week and launched a few bombs at consultants while they were at it. According to a survey by VendorRate--an outfit that ranks vendors via feedback from customers--the companies that implement Oracle's software received low customer satisfaction ratings.

The results aren't all that surprising as consultants are often under fire. Consultants are one of two things in the tech sector that continue to raise prices hell or high water. The other eternal inflationary charge is your software maintenance fees.

VendorRate, which had a little booth tucked in the back of the OpenWorld show floor, said 600 customers submitted ratings for nearly 200 vendors. There were 43,000 Oracle customers at OpenWorld.
