in brief IT Services firm PKBA has won a multi-year, multimillion dollar managed services contract with the Australian Central Credit Union.

PKBA won the Wintel server and desktop managed services contract from incumbent Datacom. Datacom retained a mid-range server and datacentre contract with the credit union.

The contract will see PKBA providing support for over 700 PCs and applications, dozens of application servers and the data communications network linking the Credit Union's sites. PKBA will also provide an on-site team for services such as extended support for key branches and after hours support for critical systems.

Australian Central services 185,000 customers from 30 branches in South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Other recent wins for PKBA, headed up by Kaz founder Peter Kazacos, included contracts for Blundstone in Tasmania, Magellan Petroleum in Queensland, and Slade Pharmaceuticals in Victoria.
