Polycom promotes video collaboration with new Adoption Services suite

Summary:Polycom works on promoting the video collaboration sector with four new services designed to accelerate user adoption.

Polycom has introduced its new Adoption Services platform, designed to enable customers to reap more return on video collaboration services investments.

Essentially, the goal is to raise awareness of video collaboration services that are available for employees at companies where these products are available -- or even companies that don't subscribe to Polycom yet. The idea is to encourage more interest and usage of desktop, conference room and mobile video collaboration products.

Touted to be easy and cost-effective, Polycom Adoption Services is comprised of four sub-services for accelerating user adoption and ROI regarding Polycom's RealPresence video solutions.

Those features include adoption consulting, a scalable turnkey portal for online user resources, an internal promotional campaign to direct users to the company's video portal, and a cloud-based analytics platform for tracking cost trends and usage patterns, among other metrics.

Both Polycom-only and multi-vendor environments will be supported, and Polycom boasts that this is the first time a comprehensive service like this has been offered.

Along with implementing its own solutions, Polycom assures it can manage integration with Microsoft Lync, IBM SharePoint and other UC platforms.
