Privacy backlash: Zeeks.com to stop talking

SAN FRANCISCO -- The cost of complying with federal online child privacy laws has claimed one of its first victims. Kids Web site Zeeks.com will shut down all its interactive elements, from e-mail to chat rooms, starting Oct. 1.
