The latest model, called the Open(3), sports a new slimline case and updated components.

The base price is $599, and this buys you a 2.8GHz E7400 Core 2 Duo system with 2GB or DDR2 800 RAM, a 500GB 7,200RPM SATA hard drive and a GeForce 8400GS 256MB GPU.

Start adding optional extras such as a 2.53GHz Q8200 Core 2 Quad, 4GB or RAM, a pair of 1TB drives, a Blu-ray burner, a GeForce 9500GT 512MB GPU and Mac OS X with iLife and the price is now closer to $2,000.
