Question about Gov. Sarah Palin

Is it just me or can anyone get into the official web site of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin?

Have been trying for the past hour to get in. No word yet from the Governor's Office in Anchorage on the site's ability to handle a sudden surge in demand.

So if you want to use its email function to find anything out from the new vice presidential candidate or her aides, don't bother.

We'll eventually see if this woman, purportedly an ardent user of computers and Blackberries, brings technical savvy to the ticket, in contrast to presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain. Update at 12:27 p.m. Pacific time: The server at gov.state.ak.us is still not responding to Firefox or Safari requests. Awaiting response now from Communications Director Beth Leschper.
