RailCorp is looking for a new system to more effectively bill private train operators to use its rail network.

RailCorp's Network Access Division is responsible for the collection of fees from third-party train operators like Pacific National and Great Southern Railway.

The tender will replace RailCorp's Train Running Invoice Processing System, known as TRIPS4, which is at the end of its operation life, running on outdated and unsupported technology.

RailCorp will use the system to speed up its billing procedures and provide more accuracy in data reporting.

It also wants the system to play a greater role in its maintenance activities and software asset management.
