Part of Samsung's press event is happening through Gear VR headsets

Part of Samsung's press event at Mobile World Congress on Sunday is happening through Gear virtual reality headsets, the company confirmed.

Tech journalist Owen Williams shared photos of the Gear VR headsets under the seat of every journalist. At first there was no stage in the room, but then it transformed as a large cube unveiled where announcements are made from.

Samsung instructed tech journalists to not sit on their Gear VR headsets, as they will be used for parts of the event where video is shown.

Samsung said for now on, virtual reality will be used in its press events.
