Skype Dumps Nimbuzz

So, now Skype has given Nimbuzz the same treatment that they gave Fring a few months ago. I for one am not surprised.

So, now Skype has given Nimbuzz the same treatment that they gave Fring a few months ago. I for one am not surprised. Consider for yourself what they have done, and how they did it, and then decide if Skype is a company that you want to support by using their products, and paying for their services. Personally, I removed all trace of Skype software from all of my computers quite some time ago, based on this kind of corporate behaviour and the attitude behind it, and on the way that they treat their customers with their non-existant "customer support". I have never regretted that decision, and I keep seeing things like this happening which actually make me quite happy that I did so.

We as consumers can only vote with our feet, and with our wallets. I encourage everyone to think carefully about these kinds of actions, what the motivation behind them might be, and what the result might be when they achieve the absolute market dominance and exclusion that they are obviously driving for.
