Skype for iPhone at almost 4 million downloads

Remember near the end of March when Skype became available for download on the iPhone and iPod touch? Well, if you're one of the 37 million people who own either an iPod touch or an iPhone, you're likely to know what I'm talking about. According to 9to5Mac.com via the Wall Street Journal, one out of every 10 iPhone/iPod touch owners have downloaded Skype, and that was as of April 22. A few weeks later, the number is probably close to 40 million iPod touch/iPhone owners, meaning 4 million Skype downloads.

After just two days of its release, Skype was being downloaded six times per second -- more than one million times. And, by April 8, it was already at 2 million downloads.

The numbers are likely to continue to grow, that is, if the people are happy with the app. Are you one of the many who have downloaded Skype for your iPhone or iPod touch? If so, how do you like it?
