Skype Lite now available for more mobile devices, including the E71

Summary:I've used multiple clients, like fring, on my S60 devices to try to connect to Skype. I was very pleased when Jason Harris, Techcraver, posted on Twitter about an official Skype Lite version for S60 devices. You can visit the Skype website to find the application and load it on your S60 device. You can also visit skype.com/m in your mobile browser to download and install the application on your device.

Skype Lite now available for some S60 devices
I've used multiple clients, like fring, on my S60 devices to try to connect to Skype. I was very pleased when Jason Harris, Techcraver, posted on Twitter about an official Skype Lite version for S60 devices. You can visit the Skype website to find the application and load it on your S60 device. You can also visit skype.com/m in your mobile browser to download and install the application on your device.

The new devices that this Skype Lite version works on includes:

  • LG KE770, CU515, CU575 Trax, CU720 Shine
  • Nokia N96, N75, E71, E62, 6555, 6085
  • Samsung A717, T639, A737
  • SonyEricsson T700, T650, G502, W902, W380, W350, TM506, G700, G900, K770, Z750a, Z525a, Z310a, S500

Skype is also available for Windows Mobile and the Nokia Internet Tablet. I have used it several times on the N810 and look forward to using it on my S60 devices, especially the E71. The Skype blog also stated some details on an updated Windows Mobile
