Smart 2010

One entrepreneur shares his expectations for the new year and the new decade.

As we prepare to head into a new year and a new decade, I asked entrepreneur Greg Olsen what he has in mind for making 2010 a "smart year."

The last decade hasn’t been too shabby for Olsen, a research scientist and entrepreneur who traveled to the International Space Station in 2005; has acquired a collection of companies through GHO Ventures in Princeton, NJ; and recently published a book, By Any Means Necessary: An Entrepreneur’s Journey into Space.

Here’s what Olsen said:

"Just to remember what has happened over the past decade, 2000-2010. Financially, things started wild and easy, then recessed in 2001, then got good again, then crashed in 2008. I’m expecting the same in the next decade and will always go counter to the prevailing wind."
