In the eastern Med there are numerous submerged settlements thanks to the settling, and water level changes brought on by earthquakes and seismic shifts. So this global warming thing and rising sea levels are just a new twist on an old pattern.

Meanwhile, imagine how you could improve if you got to built a New Miami, or a NEW New Amsterdam, in either New York or in Old Netherlands.
